Dr. Stanley Ellis
Driven by a deeply rooted determination to help students utilize public education as a means to help them improve their personal and economic position in society, Dr. Stanley Ellis has championed students’ to have access to a high-quality education as a teacher, school principal, state and regional policy advisor, nonprofit leader and a director for the alliance for graduate education in Mississippi.
Stanley previously served as the Coordinator for the Alliance for Graduate Education in Mississippi (STEM) at Jackson State University and the University of California at Santa Barbara. Stanley also has served as an adjunct professor at Northwest Mississippi Community College/University of Mississippi, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Jackson State University, classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, Federal Programs Director, Chief of District Operations, Director of Curriculum Assessment and Professional Development, District Test Coordinator, Title IX Coordinator, Hearing Officer, Human Resource Director, and now Assistant Superintendent of District Operations. Stanley has also served on the state-level advisory teams that help to shape policies and procedures with district accreditation bodies and is an all-lines licensed property, casualty, and workers compensation insurance adjuster.
Stanley was raised on a small farm in Mississippi, Stanley is the youngest of his siblings. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University; a Master of Arts in Sociology/Counseling from Jackson State University; an Associate of Arts in Education from Coahoma Community College, a Bachelor of Social Science from Delta State University, and a Master of Leadership in Human Resources from Belhaven University
Stanely currently serves on the advisory board of Cognia formerly AdvancED, board chairman of Local Non-Profit JWCI, advisor to Howard University Capstone Institute, advisor for Boys & Girls Club, Toastmasters International advisor and senior consultant for Future Farmers of America.

TCSD Operations Department
The Operations Department works in conjunction with the Maintenance Department and the Safety and Security Team to ensure operation and safety of buildings and departments throughout the Tunica County School District.
Effective learning requires a safe and secure setting. Natural disasters and human activity can pose risks to the security of persons and property. When safety standards take into account certain requirements like facilities, rules and procedures, employee certification, safety planning, and crisis response training, these hazards can be diminished or completely eliminated.
